Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.
I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer

Probably a pretty decent upfront cost since I need to buy an unlocked phone though.
So, will not expect Google Store purchase to be considered as Fi purchases.

Can't recommend it enough. Costs 80$ a month for two lines with unlimited everything. And it is super flexible. During the strict lock down days we were able to downgrade to a limited plan for a few months since we were always on Wi-Fi and saved tons of money. Only took a few clicks on the app. Data is even unlimited internationally which has come in handy when traveling.
Great reception in my area, but I am in a major city so could be worse in remote areas. But it uses the towers of multiple major carriers so I imagine coverage should be pretty good wherever you go.
