Amex Offers Spend $50 or more, get $25 back. Up to 3 times (total of $75). Google Fi - Mobile Phone Plan
YMMV- May be for select account.
OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. Excludes all other Google products and services. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $75 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3HS:0001

Add 100+. Literally added 111 offers for Google Fi and Dell to FINALLY show up. I was never even aware of this "hack", I always just assumed if you look and it's not on there you weren't targeted, but sure enough, adding a ton of offers leaves room for new offers to appear. I just about gave up after adding 80, but tried over 100 and finally it appeared!!
To make an early payment:

Go to pay.google.com.
Click Subscriptions & services.
On your active Google Fi service, click Manage and then Pay early.

I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.

I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer Frown

Update:
Fi Prepay works perfectly, I was credited today. Incredible deal.
I had to add about 20 offers to finally see it. I'm not understanding why Amex can't fix this in 2022.

You're welcome. I wouldn't take a chance either considering the large amount at stake. It's funny, I am in the same boat as you. Mint ending in a month, and I have been thinking about picking up an S22 if there is a way to maximize the Amex Fi offer I got on two cards (wife and mine).

Did you buy the phone with your Amex? If so, did it trigger the offer? Someone on another thread reported that the entire $75 amount triggered with a $300 phone purchase.

Another option would be to finance the device and then prepay $50 at a time towards it, but I have yet to see any data points on that.

I did this but cannot confirm yet if it works since I'm still waiting for the phone to arrive. I'll post an update here once I'm able to start prepaying the phone EIP.

Awesome, thank you! Will wait for your update. If there is a way to use both my $75 Amex offers, I'll definitely jump on this deal.

I don't want to be on Fi for any longer than the 4 months needed for this offer as it is considerably more expensive for a single line than other options for me. Since I am almost always within wifi coverage, I only need about 2-3GB a month, and fi will cost $40-50 a month for one line + taxes/fees, which is crazy expensive compared to the alternatives (US Mobile, Mint, TMobile prepaid, etc.).

I checked my credit card statement from last year March when I did the Moto G Power 2020 deal, and it shows the phone purchase and monthly service charges as Google Fi.

So, will not expect Google Store purchase to be considered as Fi purchases.
Was the Fi financed phone purchase and monthly service combined into a single payment? I am trying to figure out if it is possible to finance the phone, and then prepay $50 three times to maximize the offer. In my case, my wife also has this offer on her card, so I would make six $50 payments towards the phone and service.

So I have been looking into this a bit more and found the following on their support site. Based on that, it should be possible to do multiple $50 prepays to add to your account credit, and then prepay the device. According to #6 below, the remaining balance of the device will be charged to your next statement. Since the account will have a credit due to the prepays, it should be used up before the remaining balance is charged to your credit card.

https://support.google.com/fi/ans...37259&rd=1
Pay off your balance at any time
You can check your remaining balance on your phone and pay it off at any time:
  1. Open the Google Fi app or website.
  2. In the Account tab, go to Manage Plan.
  3. Select your device.
  4. In the window that appears, you'll see how much you've paid and how much you have left to pay.
  5. To pay your remaining balance, click Pay off device.
  6. The balance on your device will be charged on your next statement as "Device payment - full payoff."

Mine was not installments as phone was only $50 last year. It was just a one time charge.

Does anyone know if we qualify for the credit if we go directly to fi.google.com and make a purchase? I added the offer to my amex cc, and I noticed that there is a button to redeem the offer next to the saved offer; do i need to go through that link for a qualifying purchase to trigger the $25 credit, or will going directly to fi.google.com also trigger the credit on a qualifying transaction?

I had the offers on 4 different accounts. Did the prepay option, on 3 accounts all 3 credits posted. On the last account, only 2 posted. This was the only account that I got a fraud alert and a payment refused, for doing payments 3 in a row without any wait. Will chat Amex and see if they will credit manually.

The offer will stay in your available offer list until you've earned the max $75 credit or the offer expires.

I am porting in four lines and plan on keeping the service for six months to bridge until the black friday mint buy 3 months and get 3 free. So I will get $300 in service for bringing 3 phones and then $500 off the S22. I tried to be cute and prepay $250 and then pay the last $67 for the S22. Aparent that does NOT work lol. So I got the $25 for the phone and the $125 for the prepaid service. I should have $570 ($20 referral) in prepaid service which will get me to late November/Early December. I had the offer on three cards so I would have liked to get the extra $75 but still a good deal.

I would not have tried to finance as I believe that is a hard pull. I do allot of credit card deals (thanks Doc) and the hard pull is worth more than the $150 cash it would generate. If I had it to do over again I would have purchased the phone with a card with one of the offers, hoped it gave me the whole $75 like the Doc poster said and then prepaid the service with the other cards. Best of luck!

Directly in Fi is fine, as long as you use AmEx for payment. No specific need to go through AmEx website.

I haven't gotten the $25 credit to post either on the phone purchase.

K thanks....I just wasn't sure after seeing that button to redeem now after the fact 🙃...So will phone purchase count as one of the 3 times to use this offer, or is the offer only applied after paying for the Fi service? I've read conflicting info on this, and haven't seen read a comment on anyone confirming they got the credit after purchasing a phone through Google Fi...

Grrrr.

Can confirm that a phone purchase triggers all 3 credits. Which means I guess I tried to prepay Fi $50 for no reason and that was a waste.

I have a trade in for part of the Phone purchase ($238 back to amex). Hopefully it doesn't strip the credits.
