Amex Offers Spend $50 or more, get $25 back. Up to 3 times (total of $75). Google Fi - Mobile Phone Plan
YMMV- May be for select account.
OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. Excludes all other Google products and services. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $75 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3HS:0001

Add 100+. Literally added 111 offers for Google Fi and Dell to FINALLY show up. I was never even aware of this "hack", I always just assumed if you look and it's not on there you weren't targeted, but sure enough, adding a ton of offers leaves room for new offers to appear. I just about gave up after adding 80, but tried over 100 and finally it appeared!!
To make an early payment:

Go to pay.google.com.
Click Subscriptions & services.
On your active Google Fi service, click Manage and then Pay early.

I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.

I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer Frown

Update:
Fi Prepay works perfectly, I was credited today. Incredible deal.
I had to add about 20 offers to finally see it. I'm not understanding why Amex can't fix this in 2022.

Not afraid, just not worth it in this case. I would take one hard pull for amex plat 150k pts, but not for this.

Side question, I have a barely used 8 mo old factory unlocked S21 (regular), is it worthwhile to trade-in with Fi? Seems to give $335 credit/refund, but I vaguely recalled some trade in fiasco with them around BF 2020.
* Can't tell you if it's worthwhile to trade in your S21.
* Earlier in the thread, someone traded in an iPhone 11 for $320 and it was rejected with the (illogical) reason: "Determined value of $320 is less than estimated trade-in value of $320" Confused. Don't know if he got it resolved.
* I traded in a refurb Samsung A51 from Tracfone and got the $70 credit promptly.
* If you buy a phone to get $75 credit back from Amex and your trade-in gets $335 credited to your (same) card, I don't know if Amex will clawback the $75 credit. I used my Wells Fargo card to buy the phone (before the Amex offer became available) and got 2% cb on the $327 purchase. When Fi credited $70 to the card for the trade-in, W.F. deducted $1.40 (2% of $70) from the cb.

There is 2 ways
I. Pay phone in full
Pay for the phone in full with 1 card (you get $75 back)
Prepay $50 x 3 = $150 for 3 months
Monthly fee for 4 months ($20 + x 4) so it will be around $80 + tax,
Assume that your monthly fee is $25 ($20 fee + 5 tax) your 4 months total is $100
and you end up with $50 credit in your Fi account if u don't use the service.
So, the total out of pocket cost will be:
(Full $ for the Phone) + ( Prepay $150 for 3 months) + (Tax) - (AMEX $75) - ($ trade-in)

well most amex deals are once per lifetime

are you churning chase cards or something? if you're credit is high enough, an extra hard pull won't affect anything.

That is if you have the Amex offer on multiple cards, like Procter does. If you have only one Amex card with offer and get $75 from the phone purchase, no needs to prepay.

In my case, I used my W.F. card for the phone purchase (before the Amex offer came out), so I prepaid $50 toward the monthly costs to get $25 Amex credit:
($327 for phone & sales tax) + (4 x $26.23 monthly w/taxes) - $25 Amex credit - $20 Fi credit for being referred - $20 Fi credit for referring one person - $70 A51 trade-in.
I'll have a free iPhone 11 from Total Wireless at end of May. Too late to trade-in, so I'll sell it to recoup some cost.

Why is that? S21 Ultra would be $600 before $75 credit, even with $355 refund for trade in, the charge on that one card would still be more than $150. Is it because the fact there is refund?

I am pretty sure he has his reason on not doing hard pull, it all come down to is it worth it
you don't know his situation or his plan so no point to say something like

an extra hard pull won't affect anything.

or maybe he is just giving you a polite answer....

Yes if you are getting s22+ or Ultra but if you are getting the base model than the trade-in will credit back to CC which might trigger amex to claim back like

Besides the refund issue (which is not the case if you buy a more expensive model), the other "potential" problem is if their assess value is less than the estimated trade-in value. The terms of the trade-in require you to accept their assess value (see attachment). If they say your phone has problems and offer a less amount, you have no recourse. I read somewhere that a person didn't agree with the assess value and asked for the trade-in phone back, the reply was that it's not possible because they already resold it.

Placed order for S22+ and now I see pending charges on name of Google Services. Is this expected? BTW, no email from amex on offer redemption.

When actually posted, the charge will change from Google Service to Google Fi. I got the $25 credit for $50 prepayment but no email from Amex regarding offer redemption.
