YMMV- May be for select account.
OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for Google Fi purchases only. Valid online only at fi.google.com and app via Android devices only. Valid only on purchases made in US Dollars. Excludes all other Google products and services. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. American Express identifies qualifying transactions based on information provided by the participating merchant. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $75 back) per Card Member. You may not receive the statement credit if we receive inaccurate information or are otherwise unable to identify your purchase as qualifying for the offer. For example, you may not receive the statement credit if (a) the merchant uses a third-party to sell their products or services; or (b) the merchant uses a third-party to process or submit your transaction to us (e.g., using mobile or wireless card readers); or (c) you choose to make a purchase using a third-party payment account or make a purchase using a mobile or digital wallet. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 9/2/2022, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items/services from your qualifying purchase have been shipped/provided by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your purchase as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. Limit 1 enrolled Card per American Express Card online account. The enrolled Card account must be active, not past due, canceled, or have a returned payment outstanding to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are dynamic and personalized, so the offers you see may change. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K3HS:0001

Add 100+. Literally added 111 offers for Google Fi and Dell to FINALLY show up. I was never even aware of this "hack", I always just assumed if you look and it's not on there you weren't targeted, but sure enough, adding a ton of offers leaves room for new offers to appear. I just about gave up after adding 80, but tried over 100 and finally it appeared!!
To make an early payment:

Go to pay.google.com.
Click Subscriptions & services.
On your active Google Fi service, click Manage and then Pay early.

I just did it and have not received an Amex notification... though with these types of deals I typically do not. Can't say 100% sure if it works, I'll update if I see a credit.

I can't tell if the deal counts the service charge or just specifically ordering multiple phones... which I did a week ago before this offer Frown

Update:
Fi Prepay works perfectly, I was credited today. Incredible deal.
I had to add about 20 offers to finally see it. I'm not understanding why Amex can't fix this in 2022.

I applied and got the Amex Blue Cash Everyday card today. I added 199 offers to the card. I see no more offers now and I can't find the Google Fi one. I re-login after six hours and still no more offers. Is there any hope of getting the offer?

Hey Keung,

Can I confirm that you did financing and then went to:

pay.google.com and go to subscriptions & services --> Google Fi --> manage and then "pay early"

and made $150 payment? or $50 amex payments?? and this applies toward the phone?

I'm chatting/calling google fi chat/support services and they're horrible. They are so slow. They're saying that it applies to the phone service bill and not the phone device bill.

Just wanted to confirm this otherwise I want to cancel the phone since I made 3 $50 payments by paying off early under pay.google.com.

Thanks!

Quote from keung :
There is 2 ways
I. Pay phone in full
Pay for the phone in full with 1 card (you get $75 back)
Prepay $50 x 3 = $150 for 3 months
Monthly fee for 4 months ($20 + x 4) so it will be around $80 + tax,
Assume that your monthly fee is $25 ($20 fee + 5 tax) your 4 months total is $100
and you end up with $50 credit in your Fi account if u don't use the service.
In the case you get a referral Wave you get $20 credit after the first month, so $70 credit

II. Start an installment
Start your line with a installment plan (Most likely you will get a hard pull on your credit )
Prepay $50 x 3 on first card and $50 x 3 on your second card
Total you will have $300 credit in your account
You 4 months fee = ($20 + tax) x 4 = $100, use referral get to $84
Request to pay off installment on the 4 month (The balance will add to your next bill)

This way you will have $216 of your $300 apply to the phone if u get 20 credit from referral or
$196 without one.

NOT sure what kind of DP you want for installment plan, the installment is part of the bill so ANY credit you prepaid to you Fi account will automatically apply to installment after your monthly fee.
Attach is an bill which I use prepaid credit to pay off a device payment last month

I have few referral credits lined up and currently paying zero for my cell phone service. I am afraid that by the time the AMEX offer expires in September, I will not be able to take advantage of this offer. Can I prepay now and have the credit sit there for a couple of months until I exhaust my referral credits?

As someone who just setup a family group, you cannot. I got a referral from a different family group that was full so we both got that 20. But for adding extra people to mine it does not allow it.

What if you join separately and make a group the third month

I added 237 offers today and didn't see it. Some mentioned the offer has met it's reach and is possibly dead. Looks so for me.

For the Pixel 6a, since there's no discount with a minimum service requirement from Fi and the Pixel Buds promo is a Google Store promo code, is there any harm in ordering from the Fi Store to trigger the Amex discount but then not activating service on Fi at all, but keeping the phone? You lose the higher trade-in values that are available on the Google Store, but the difference on my potential trade-in is less than the $75 from the Amex offer so this would still be the better deal for me as long as there's no penalty for just taking the phone without activating Fi (or activating for one day then cancelling).

Buy Samsung S22 at half price?
Can fi credit be used to buy a device? If yes, then S22 may be bought at half price.
I found google fi can be prepaid using the following link by clicking "Pay early"
https://pay.google.com/gp/w/u/0/h...ndservices

No, the credit could be applied to Google Fi billings only, not even to the tax and fee.

How much was the charge for your phone + sales tax (mine was $327.44). If yours is over $325, even if the $275 offset the phone purchase, you should still get one $25 credit for the remaining $50+ charge.

Please do.

I think amex offers do strange things with partial refunds since amex can't quite tie to refund to the original payment. At least I've found that with things like Best buy orders and returns.
I don't know why but Amex has credited me a total of $130 so far. Bought my S22 for $321, I traded in my S20 and received full $275 credit for it. I've received a $75, $5, $25, and $25 credit so far. I don't remember what the $5 credit could be for. They just keep giving me money. Not complaing bounce

Let say prepaid $150 to take advantage of the full amex credit, then I end up using only $100 ($25x4 months) and cancel after 120 days. Will Google FI refund the extra $50?

Did you try this? I signed up for the Pixel 5a deal and coming up on 4 months. I intend to cancel Fi but wondering if I should prepay to take advantage of this Amex offer if Google Fi credits the additional payment back to the credit card, Google Fi credits are useless for me since I only did the deal to get the device - I don't use their service.

It was back to my credit card. It posted one full cycle after I ported out.
So, did you prepay your bill and then when you canceled/ported out the additional amount you paid was refunded back to your credit card? Thanks!

I will find out when I cancel the line, still 40+ dyas to go. I have around $100 credit in my account, after the next two billing cycles I should get $50 back on my credit card according to data points from other SDer.

This was last year. It was not a prepay, but prorated refund. I intend to do the same this time.

ok thanks! My 120 days will be up in a day or so and will cancel Fi service soon after, I am contemplating if I should "prepay" to trigger the Amex offer and then wait for it to get refunded when I cancel the service ....
