I was thinking people on Reddit were saying the data was faster than Visible, at least during your priority data allowance. I'm thinking of switching from Visible, if I can get 4+ lines to US Mobile, however, it looks like taxes and fees are on top of the prices?
The Black SIM is Super LTE Verizon service. US Mobile started Premium Data on its Verizon service in April 2022 for 5G phones. It can be as fast as Verizon Postpaid customers. (Supposedly, if you have a proper 5G phone but it only receiving 4G LTE service then still tap into the Premium Data priority albeit at lesser speeds - because its 4G LTE and not the potentially faster 5G.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqaTIgKWJwU

The video shows QCI = 8 Priority Data for both Verizon Postpaid and US Mobile Super LTE Verizon Black SIM. Awesome.

So, US Mobile Verizon service as fast and as prioritized as Verizon Postpaid service.

Of course, how fast your data moves is based on your location. It could be T Mobile provides better service in your area. In that case, no priority premium data with T Mobile GSM White SIM service

Is Verizon still using CDMA networks (need ESN number) or is it fully GSM now?

Also, for students, they offer first month free and 20% off non-unlimited data plans. I just signed up for the 12GB plan - free for first month, then discounted to $16 (from $20) plus about $5 in taxes/fees.
I think this is the real deal, I've got my free sim card ordered for my free first month. I've used these guys in the past when they had free service deals. Speeds on Verizon blew visible out of the water. Speeds on T-Mobile seemed the same as every other MVNO.

For an account with 3 or 4 lines, they're probably the cheapest out there for unlimited data plans. It's $25 per line inclusive of taxes/fees, and you get 1 x free Netflix (or Spotify or other service) with 3 lines, or 2 free service (Netflix and Spotify, etc...) with 4 lines.

Also, for students, they offer first month free and 20% off non-unlimited data plans. I just signed up for the 12GB plan - free for first month, then discounted to $16 (from $20) plus about $5 in taxes/fees.

Thanks for the students comment... I am trying to find this on their website but cannot locate. Can you elaborate on where you saw this student discount?

When did you switch from them? From what I've listened to in the YouTube video and reading online, it was just a month or two ago that you got priority data speeds for your data allotment (75gb for unlimited plan) and then 1mbps after in some cases, and now you get a QCI 8 level vs QCI 9 level like with other MVNOs, Visible, and even one Verizon post paid plan... https://old.reddit.com/r/NoContra...is_better/ [reddit.com]
About 5-6 months ago. If they indeed bumped it up to QCI of 8, I might give them a try again.

Thanks for linking that video OP. Stetson's YouTube channels (BestPhonePlans [youtube.com] and Stetson Doggett [youtube.com]) are excellent resources for information on cellular phone plans and home internet solutions Smilie (I'm not affiliated in any way, just a big fan of the quality of their content).

He's got a great website as well, comparing almost every carrier in the U.S. you can find: https://www.bestphoneplans.net/

I used them for data in my Audi until 3G was turned off. Great company. Their data plans are very reasonable and their customer service is extremely nice. It almost has a family-run business vibe to it.

If anyone is thinking about us mobile here is an honest review from someone who switched a few months ago.

I used to have a 3 line Verizon and switched to the super lte plan. It is about 1/4 the cost of my old Verizon plan when you factor in all the perks.

The discount comes with a few drawbacks.

1. I get missed calls. My phone wont ring but a missed call will pop up. This typically happens when I have weak service. It never used to happen with Verizon in the same locations.

2. Deprioritization. If you are in a crowded area your phone might just not work. I was at a race last week which had thousands of people crowded which is a lot but not stadium crazy crowded and I couldbt even make a call.

3. Getting discounts for the perks is a manual process and you have to email them ever month to get it. I recently had to ask for my referral credit to be applied and even then it didn't go through.

That being said I am sticking with it. My monthly bill for 3 lines unlimited has dropped from $200 to $50

According to these posts, the deprioritization issue should have been resolved 3 months ago since they are on the same QCI as VZ postpaid. As a previous US mobile customer who switched 6 months ago, (Post #12) this was my main issue as I could not use messenger or open a webpage for the life of me at a concert or any large gathering of people.
