Considering the supply chain issue and the new card is going to release at around end of year, I am not that optimistic that we can buy 4000 series in a year

You can buy EVGA partner card for $1300, with free shipping if you are an elite member. Not much of a deal, but if you are already spending $1200, EVGA card has better out of the box clock speeds and better noise to termal performance.

Let's be honest, this card is not worth $1200 in any meaningful way if we agree 3080 is worth 699. 3080ti should be and will be priced at 899 max. BTW I see 6900 XT widely available today at $900

Not only that but Nvidia most likely gonna keep higher end cards like 4080 prices inflated like they doing with 3090ti FE they just released.

You can buy an RTX 3070 Ti through Best Buy right now for +$100 over msrp, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...pp_android. Obviously not in the same league as the 3080 ti but a much better value.

Best buy? you mean the company that put graphics cards behind a paywall so they can get in on the scalping action while enabling scalpers to monopolize the stock because it makes sense for them to put up the 200 for totaltech "membership" since they're buying as many as they can but it doesnt make any sense for the rest of us consumers to do so.
