ThinkPad Wired USB Keyboard with TrackPoint. (Part Number: 0B47190)
Really love to have the red dot. I personally prefer the wired one for a working setup because it feels more reliable and works in BIOS.

This search pages shows $39.99
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/sear...ce&fsid=18

This deal page also shows $39.99
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/d/de...%26%20Mice

But the item page shows $50.99
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/ac...ds/0b47190

Online chatting to the sales and ask for a quote with the low price, they will send you a email with the quote link. Don't know the purchase limit per person. My first quote is only for one, but then I asked to change to 2.

Cash back can be activated during purchase, but cannot apply other coupons.

All prices are above before tax.

It's a chiclet keyboard. You might want to look into the Tex Yoda.

Upvoted for my favorite keyboard of all time - a truly magnificent invention and STILL the king of keyboard mouse options, in the TrackPoint. For some reason in the early 2000's people became amused by taking a finger across a pad and it sort of working as a mouse. It was never superior to a TrackPoint and despite all of the technological advancements, remains inferior to the TrackPoint. If you're not familiar and skeptical, take a look at the keyboard in OP's post. See the location of the red dot and 3 buttons below the spacebar (which are just as critical). Your hands are on the home row typing, your finger is mm's away from the "mouse", which you can operate with pressure instead of sweeping, carpel tunnel inducing gestures - all while right clicking, left clicking, AND scrolling with your thumb. It's the most effortless way you can transition from typing to mouse activities.

I hope you'll consider this technology in your future so we can stave off the extinction of a superior keyboard mouse.

FYI: Firmware hack was made to swap Ctrl and Fn keys on this USB wired Thinkpad keyboard (not possible through BIOS or software):

Sadly, there's no solution yet for the wireless version of the keyboard.

I mean it's a nice to have, but touch pad supporting multi-touch is so more useful in scrolling documents and image editing on the go.

The nipple mouse is really useful in industrial usage though, especially if you're wearing gloves, I'll give it's a requirement for those types of devices.

This is so mind blowing... Never thought of this would be possible...

I agree with you and feel the same but can you back your claims via some authoritative source.
Authoritative source? Like what for example?
Also, any authoritative source that touch pad is superior than TrackPoint?

Simple google search and rtings review doesn't make red stick that of a game changer.

IMO, those are just some professional opinions in their field of expertise. I personally don't think there is any authoritative source or judgement for keyboards or mouses.

If you read carefully about @hleapha's post, you will notice s/he described a very detailed use case. In that sense, I believe trackpoint is indeed superior. Nothing mentioned anything about a game changer. I don't think trackpoint is a game changer. It's just too old and is the one that should be challenged.

I'm not trying to argue which is the best, just felt it's really meaningless to ask for authoritative source for such an issue... Didn't get your point from the beginning...

I've owned this and it's a great pointing device and keyboard minus the micro usb connection. I dropped it once and it never worked.

The IBM ultranavs that come with their rack mounted LCDs are better. Unicomp has a SKU with trackpoints, and those are worth looking at as well.

I am looking for a full size keyboard, which has firm sturdy keys, I can rest my fingers on the keys. It may be similar to old fashioned ibm keyboard. I had one Lenovo keyboard for 10 years, but eventually it retired. I cannot find any similar one on the market. Could any one give me any recommendations ?
