They do provide warranty w/ screen protection for 3yrs, but not burn in.. Covers accidents though..
So what you are saying is, as soon as the OLED develops burn in, you can "accidentally" chuck a rock at it and smash the screen, and it would be covered? LMAO

I've only bought LG OLED, but that Sony deal is great since it's new and has a 5 year warranty. I think the general rule of LG if you're gaming a lot, and Sony if it's primarily for shows and movies holds true, they are 95% the same tv.

I've had great luck with 5 OLEDs (2 floor models, 2 open box, and 1 open box and refurbished), and all are still working just like when I got them and my family that I've passed the older ones on to loves them. I would go with the LG to save money, but I think most wouldn't buy refurbished on such an expensive product.

Check how many hours are on the screen when you get home

I bought one of these MicroCenter OLED refurbs About six months ago

Mine had about 300 hours on it

I was OK with it, but each of you will have your own threshold for previous usage

or save yourself some trouble and do it in store

I bought this TV from them a few weeks ago this price. Had 100 hours screen time on it already, but not too bad. It looks great and I'm really happy with it.

I was able to buy an extended warranty, and got one that included screen protection. The person at the store told me that included burn-in protection but I did some Googling and highly doubt that's the case.

If anyone has any questions on the deal let me know. Very happy with my purchase!

Wow, what a great price! Back on Black Friday, I paid $1800 for my LG 65" C1 from Costco, brand new now but $1900 for the 77"? Man, that is something I might have jumped on.....now, it's a 20 hour round trip but what the hell....at least I have a truck to carry it!
