Where do you see that? I was looking for some info beyond the 90-days listed in specs but didn't see anything.
it's not free, it costs $250. they will try to sell it to you when you buy it at the store. BUY IT, I got one of these earlier for the same price (they've been in stock since the last sale) and mine has vertical white lines on it. however, it is under 90 day warranty and my replacement panel is coming this week.

I bought the 65inch and the 77in BOTH refurb from Microcenter. They're working absolutely great. Both had less than 30hrs of screentime. Do not get their warranty for Even if the sales rep says it covers burn in, because corporate said it does not.

Does costco citi anywhere give 2 years extra warranty on microcenter refurbished items? Just wondering if it's only for new items.

Same with me on the 65 inch. My screen was perfect. There was only some minor wear on the stand, which I'm not even using. Kinda makes me want the 77 inch now…

But I do seem to remember that while their warranty did not specifically cover screen burn-in specifically, it does cover accidental damage. Even the MC reps will hint at this to you because they just want their commission. So… yeah, not tough to get your money back in any case if you do notice some screen burn-in… lol.

In any case, I rolled the dice and didn't buy the warranty for my 65 inch refurb because an extra $250 would've killed any savings from going with the refurb compared to buying a new one from Green Toe with no tax and free shopping. Mine was at just a few hours of screen time when I purchased it but is now at 659 hours without any issues.

You can add the MC warranty within 30 days of purchase, so the best strategy if you can't inspect it and power it on in the store is to pass on the warranty, take it home, check it for damage and a good screen, and then decide if you want to pay for the warranty or not. If there IS damage, you can always just return or exchange it for another refurb if they have any in stock.

So what you are saying is, as soon as the OLED develops burn in, you can "accidentally" chuck a rock at it and smash the screen, and it would be covered? LMAO
Exactly. Some of the MC reps will even hint at this cuz they just want their commission for selling the extended warranty plans.

Well my 77" Sony just delivered this morning. Waiting for my coworker to get home to help me unbox the thing.

Those of you worried about burn in, I have a 4.5yr old 65C7 that has panel failure and very very minor burn in. I could care less about the burn in, but it's the panel failure that gets me. Looks like a screen door when it's on greys. I'm not so worried about burn in, but I may buy a second extended warranty just in case that does cover it lol.

They do provide warranty w/ screen protection for 3yrs, but not burn in.. Covers accidents though..
If they're smart, a Nintendo Switch session with Switch Sports, would fix that likely burn in issue, before my 3 years were up.

I've tried 2 refurbished tvs from them, both were broken. It'sa hassle to return tvs this big. Be prepared for the possibility.

Same with me. Last year got a CX, and turned the TV on, and a big black band down the middle of the TV. Complained and got $200 knocked off a new one. They want to get rid of these TV's to bring in the new C2 units.
