I will tell you the opposite. Things were fine for years for my two lines, too.

But, then text messages randomly stopped appearing, and down the rabbit hole of TERRIBLE tech support that never responded to messages, never called back, never figured it out. So, I had to change to another MVNO. Then, Red Pocket said they couldn't remove the carrier lock on my iPhone - a total lie - until I went to the BBB. Then, suddenly they learned how. Of course, I was without that phone for weeks until the magical epiphany.

Just do yourself a favor and avoid these clowns. There are many other, much better, choices.
For those who are looking at some reviews for this, I moved my wife's # over to RedPocket about 5 years ago on this very same plan. She is on the GSMA plan and has had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
Hello! You'll have the flexibility of a 90-day activation period, and should this be the same plan you are renewing, you can stack now.

However, if the plans are not the same, then the existing plan will be forfeited.

Does Red Pocket support esim? Can a physical GSMA or GSMV SIM be converted to a esim?

I had rp for a few years and had no problems either. Android device, used lots of texts imo, but I'm not a teenage girl...so maybe not that many. I would absolutely go back to them if I had to pay for service again. International calling was great the few times we used it.
What is the International Calling deal?

Long time user of RP Cdma / Verizon.
In the past 2 weeks, my MMS texts stopped working.

Called RP.
What a joke.

Anyone figure out what the issue is or how to fix it?
This is my 3rd year with RP and, at the end of 2nd annual plan, the service ended a week early without my knowledge. After waiting for 30 minutes to chat online, it was fixed with the makeup week. The online group has been helpful except waiting is always at least 30 minutes. I did not try to call CSR.

Just wondering if anyone have the same issue with me and can give some idea how to solve my issue...

I bought the $60/year sim card from ebay a couple months back. activated online with no issue, but i got no service. Tried multiple phones: moto g7, iphone 6plus and samsung S9. same issue - no service/bar at all. I have the GSMA. Tried email the CS.. was referref back to online. chat doesn't help. Call CS, the moment I aske for help, they hang up.

Anyone experience this before?

I think RP is hit or miss. While it works, it was actually pretty great. RP support team will generally try to help you. But there are cases which they simply just give up.

My recommendation is to try 1 month before I commit to 1 year.

I have one line that is CDMA-sprint. T mobile bought Sprint so CDMA - Sprint will not work. I still need to figure how to deal with this thru RP. I had chat one time and after two hours of trial and error, they simply just gave up on me. Will need to try again with RP support.

I ported directly when I switched. No issue. But be warned, if you do live in big city with a lot of Att traffic, you can have full signal and no connection. I experienced that when I was travelling.
Can you please explain this a little more? I've been having this same issue it seems since January when I switched from RP CDMA to RP GSMA (to have more data). My data services are constantly not working for anywhere from 1-5 min at a time, come back on for 1-2 hours, and repeat all day everyday. RP escalated support have not been helpful and now want me to try using a new SIM card.
I live in North New Jersey which can be a busy area but never had these issues with RP CDMA.

What did you switch to?
ATT prepaid business/family
Its a good deal for me because I have 7 lines. You can have a maximum of 10. Its much better service when dealing directly with them versus going through a reseller.

I would try chat again. It's hit or miss depending on the agent. Did you check the apn? Should be ERESELLER. Sometimes tweaking it helps, too. Use whichever phone is on the AT&T whitelist to reduce complicating factors. Usual troubleshooting includes turning off wifi calling, resetting network settings - will lose bluetooth pairings and wifi passwords. Can you login to your account online?

We had the same horrible experience. Red Pocket will disable messaging due to using too many, but won't explain the limits, or warn you, the feature just stops working. Our actual usage was normal and acceptable with any other budget carrier. It seems the trigger was receiving too many group messages. Based on our experience, I think its possible that there is a bug in their logic for detecting abuse. However, the customer service is so poor and absolute that they wouldn't examine our actual usage and I don't think they have the proper mechanisms in place to identify that they could possibly have a problem on their side.

I also reported a security glitch on their site where an authenticated user could gain account details including IMEI and phone number of other users and spent hours trying to convince them that this was an issue they should fix. They were convinced that since you had to be logged in to view others users info it wasn't a serious concern.

Yeah, this is a known issue with RP. See https://slickdeals.net/f/15768511-17-50-mo-red-pocket-prepaid-phone-plan-kit-unlmtd-everything-8gb-5g-lte-210-00?p=154955752#post154955752

They likely flagged you for "abusing" SMS/MMS. You can ask support to get it restored but it will likely get shut off the next day since their algorithm looks at usage for the month.

You can find other mentions of this on slickdeals forums and throughout the web.

Surprised by how few complaints there are. You can always rely on a few moths showing up whenever there's a flame.

I noticed that in Tacoma. My guess is RP is having a lower priority in traffic than after-pay ATT user and even other suppliers reselling GSMA resource. By doing this they can get a lower price from ATT and make full use of unused resource.

I have had Redpocket for years in Maryland. In fact just renewed annual plans on 3 phones at $240 last week waiting for this offer to go on sale again :-(

In our area ATT is so much faster than TMobile or Verizon so I would stack up if they didn't have the 90 Activation restriction. One note : Redpocket loves to change your annual renewal date. The system glitches and it happened 4 times last year where they shortened it by a few weeks. Fixed it and they system changed it again so take a pic of your account summary page to ensure you get your full 360 days of service.

Did anyone else notice the tax applied now on eBay? I looked at my previous orders and never had to pay tax and this time it's charging $14 in tax
