Price keeps dropping.
Two days ago it was $622.
Awesome deal at $591.
Have this TV.
Super great display. Rivals my 2018 OLED.
This is almost 1/3 the cost of a OLED of similar size.
Only thing is that it can't do 120hz over HDMI and no VRR.
But this TV is amazing other than that.

Ive had not so great experience.

Bought an LG BX Oled once, it broke down in 2 days & they refused to exchange it. I had to call them constantly and keep complaining then they exchanged.

Then last year i ordered an Hisense U8G. They legit sent the wrong tv. They made send pictures & opened a special investigation, several days in still didn't replace the tv.

So i canceled the entire order, got it from bestbuy.

Seriously considered this, but reading the Amazon reviews a lot of apparently quality issues.

I'm too old and lack the patience to expose myself to potentially having to deal with repairs or returns or buggy software updates to work through, or having to buy a new one in a year after the warranty (which seems common).

I pulled the trigger on the Costco Sony OLED instead. yeah, it is a grand more, but it will end up having 5 years worth of warranty, and Sony has a track record. Amortized over 5 years it is worth a dollar a day to have the better tv and avoid potential hassles.

I've also heard and read that Hisense sort of forces you into what can only be described as agreeing to "surveillance"....

I am just always a little dubious of the pretty new kid on the block as they often run into issues in terms of quality and support. Vizio was the bomb 10 years ago regarding value, then TCL about 5 years ago but as time went on the warts on their products and support started to show up (although I have a TCL out in my gazebo, and so far it has been a champ).. Will Hisense be the same?

Please stop 🤥

Hisense has poor motion, accuracy, software and don't even consider it for modern gaming.

This is an average tv that gets a lot of praise , I will never buy anything from Hisense again.

There's a reason this price keeps dropping and why a good 65" cost well over $1000-$3000+

Got Amazon to price match an hour before delivery, I dunno what math they were doing but instead of 30 back they gave me 70 so this TV cost me $550. Came in perfect condition, no dead pixels. Used rtings recommendations to calibrate the picture, but set gamma to 2.0 vs the default 2.2 because I felt it was too dark. So far it looks amazing, but I was upgrading from a 2010 samsung, so 4k is not something I'm well educated on. Overall my initial impression is I am incredibly satisfied and look forward to trying some xbox series s games on it.

Maybe it's not your experience, but I have this TV sitting in my game room. I have two LG 65B7P's I purchased in 2018– one in the sunroom & one in the living room. This does rival that picture. It actually gets brighter which makes me almost want to switch this to the sunroom. That's my anecdotal evidence. I can't comment on yours. But I also feel WAYYYY more comfortable that a TV that gives me ~90%-95% of the quality for 1/3 of the price and no risk of burn-in being used by my young children on the reg. That's why I haven't put it in the sunroom.

Expired?...I see $799 now
It keeps going on and off of sale. First it was $650 last week, then on sale again for $620 the other day, and today down to $591. The sales usually last no more than a day, and then the price jumps back up to $800

I would definitely agree. I have a 65H9G in my living room and 55H9G in my bedroom and the picture is fantastic. I use a Chromecast with Google TV on both of them, so I don't have any problems with the OS lagging....which is the main complaint that I have ever heard with this TV. That other guy is just a Hisense hater and TV snob....lol....I like getting great value for my money and don't just buy by brand name.

I have a Roku Ultra on mine. I also wanted to avoid a laggy OS.

Wow....I guess a couple of things
Personally I dont put OLED's and LCD's in the same group becuase they excel at different things

That being said your opinion is interesting about this TV being 90% of an OLED
Full disclosure I have never had hands on this TV

However..I compared, extensively a TCl R635 to a Samsung QN90a...same material, same room and my thought was the TCL was not 90% there to the Samsung

Comparing OLED to LCD..in a dark room I have never seen an LCD that didnt have some blooming and that in itself is a deal breaker for some people

No, it can't, even though it has a 120hz panel 1440 is forced 60hz on this model.

https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h9g

The Hisense H9G displays most common resolutions at 60Hz. Despite having a 120Hz panel, it doesn't properly display any 120Hz signal. It accepts 1080p @ 120Hz signals, but it skips frames, and it doesn't accept any 1440p @ 120Hz signal either.
Rats! They absolutely kneecapped this TV.

this or the Sony XR-65X90J for $100 more? yes, I play video games.
This because the 65X90J isn't on sale anywhere reputable for $690. If it was it would be on the FP.

If I am wrong you should post that so it can go to the FP so other members can take advantage.
