Especially with the semi matte screen on the 55" and 65". Sony swapped my A8H for a brand new A80J. The colors and contrast were much better on the A8H.

Nope! I liked the A8H better than the A80J. I haven't seen the A80K in person, and I can't confirm the screen finish. If the A80K has the glossy screen like the 77" A80J then it'll be fine. I just hate Sony being Sony where you have to pay much more for the better screen.

thanks - Sorry for the typeo - I meant A80J (not A80K). As I currently have the 65" A8H and wondering if it's worth upgrading to the A80J. I like the A8H - just dark scenes can get crushed and can't see detail

No worries! It's more of a personal preference. A lot of people love and rave about the A80J. It's a great TV, but I have my gripes. I don't think the A80K is going to be that big of an improvement over the A80J. You might have to step up to the A80J 77", A90J (carry over from 2021), or the A95K. The A95K is limited to 55" and 65" and it's going to $4000. I think the better buy would be the A80J 77" with the glossy panel.

All, question, so I bought this when the $500 cash card deal was going on. Are you sure I can get the $200 price adjustment and also still qualify for the $500 gift card? Don't want to risk missing out on the $500 just to get the $200 now.
