Right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select Disable device.
Is there a reason that it forces you to use the touchscreen? (Serious question) Can't you just choose to not use it?
I do not believe you are forced to use the touch screen. Just don't use it. Touch screen adds a touch of weight. Same laptop touch vs non-touch is a bit heavier. I'm waiting for the new XPS 13.4 plus deal, but too new for any deals.
