In my experience it isn't! The same ray-ban model from shford feels (weight and material) widely different from the one I ordered directly from ray-ban . My comments about Ashford usually get deleted by SD (perhaps due to affiliate marketing profits they collect )

I think it's that rayban has a choice to produce really cheap and premium products and they only allow these places to sell the super cheap and plastic ones

You hardly get any metal or exotic frame material anymore; rayban stopped using carbon fiber which I used to love but I lost two pairs

Also they won't have endorsed partner products on these sites because it wouldn't be exclusive

How's quality on these? I had my Raybans for almost 20 years, paid over $200. I dropped them on hard pavement several times, one of the lenses falling off occasionally and I lost one temple tip. Still my favorite glasses, but it's time for new pair lol. But $200 vs $55 makes me nervous about how good these are...
EDIT: Ordered 2 pairs, site seems to have good return policy... $15 off coupon worked!

Back in the 90s, I bought a pair of Oakley E-Wires complete with clear box, etc. Lens scratched, so I sent them in. Oakley returned them saying they were fakes.

I was impressed - the clones back then were well done.

Oakley has a line called Sliver. They have been around forever and probably will for many decades to come. The frames range in price and appearance. The lenses are universal as far as I know. They work in all of my frames including the fordable frames. You can get a set of replacement polarized lenses in any color or shade on eBay for like 9.00 a set. You pop out the old ones and you've got new beautiful shades in any style you like. Use a polarized test to make sure they are indeed what they say they are. Leave good feedback to the Cali surfer who sold them to you for 9.00. Done.
