I own one of these and it is an excellent knife for camping, bushcraft, general use. A budget alternative to their higher end Prodigy/Strongarm/LMF knives. It's basically the same knife as the older Bear Grylls orange version, and at this price you can't go wrong.

Looks like a nice knife. I'm not a knife guy, but looks to be worth a look.

It always worries me when the manufacturer does not list what type of Steel was used. One of the q&a's for the product someone posted that it is 7Cr Stainless Steel. I'm not a fan of partially serrated blades, but either way this looks like a pretty solid deal with good reviews.

I cannot comment specifically on this knife, but in general I am not a fan of the 7Cr, and the serrated blades are more difficult to sharpen.

Have the BG version and love it. Sheath "unfolds" to access sharpener and back of it has the "guide" on it (worthless air signal Morse code or something like that)

But also the knife has a great rubber grip and 2 holes to tie knife to a pole to make a spear or something like that. (haven't needed that feature)

start camp fires with it all the time, get compliments on it. Feels sturdy and strong and just enough weight to it.

Had a bear Grylls orange handle folding knife and it fell apart with in a year.

Just make sure not to give him whiskey at the same time he is playing with this, or you're asking for trouble.

Can confirm, whiskey and this knife made my infant boy sprout a beard in an afternoon, then he started critiquing my lawn so I put a stop to it.

Amazon usually does not ship _folding_ knives to New York. Majority of _fixed_ blade knives seems to be okay for Amazon (for now).

I was able to add this to my cart to test this, since I am in NY. But I won't be buying this knife.

I just had it shipped to NYC and it went through. I have tried to ship smaller knives to NYC from Amazon and I was blocked…

7Cr is shown on the first scene of the video. Nothing to brag about.
