Great size for taking on a plane. You need two because when one runs out you have a spare and you will have time to refill the empty one before the second one runs out (probably). I bought some 3 oz ones that were different from this and (a) it wasn't too hard to refill them from a bigger bottle by sucking in the lotion as you squeeze it out of the bigger bottle, and (b) you might be able to take these caps off, I can't tell.

I don't think I'd buy a chemical sunscreen like this over mineral sunscreens with titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. But, there are pros and cons to both:

Chemical sunscreens are easier and generally perform better. They require 30 minutes to absorb into the skin before sun exposure. The absorption of the chemicals into the body is known and has been noted of some concern by the FDA in recent years.

Mineral sunscreens do not absorb into the body, work well, but are not as aesthetic (they leave white residue on you in most cases).
