X2 was a great headphone so I thought this would be a good deal but upon further research, it looks like x3 is actually worse so probably not the best deal

If anyone is debating spending the extra 20 on these instead of the X2HR, Dont.
The X2HR refurb, imo, is the better deal.
I own the X2, X2HR, and X3 headphones.

no problem. I replaced my pads with brainwavz hybrid pads and imo, improved sound and comfort.

Thanks. Are they easy to put on (plug n play) or do you have to rip off the original ones and glue them up?

only the X1(and X2) have glued on pads. X2HR and X3 clip on. i would look at dekoni pads before brainwavz
