I have this grill, awesome. I strongly recommend before you put it together wash the entire thing down with soap and water then paint it using high-heat Rust-Oleum or equivalent. After having one that rusted within the first few months I tried this and the one I have now is going into it's 7th summer and looks brand new. Good luck.
Charcoal taste better but if it is 7pm on a week night and I want a quick burger/steak. I could be done cooking by the time to coals are ready. I also use the gas side indirect heay and a warmer if I'm cooking volume..
Different cooking styles , different cooking temperatures. Having a bag of charcoal stored isn't a big deal and a propane tank available as you normally would doesn't seem to be much of a fuss at all

Damn. Tempted by this one. I bought the previous Target gas grill deal but haven't opened it yet. Not sure if I'd ever really use the charcoal side...

Genuinely curious, why would one want to have both a charcoal and gas grill? Seems like a nuisance to have to have charcoal and propane on hands instead of just one fuel source.

Stick with the previous target deal. I setup last week, it's amazing.

Propane for regular quick grills, charcoal for a longer, more flavorful cooks.

For those interested, I just added the offset side burner that Char Griller sells, and have done two lovely smokes.
