I bought this with the plunge base on a deal a year ago or so. It's big, haven't used it yet, but I'm thinking for the stuff around the house and some minor furniture, I might have been better off with a smaller trim router. Once I have a bigger shop setup I think it will work great, but right now it's cumbersome for my needs

Definitely overkill but would definitely work. Unfortunately individual router bits cost a small fortune....
