For $25 you can go from a 350w to 500w power supply, seems worth it.

And for $10 you can upgrade the Wifi/BT card.

Is it any cheaper with an edu account? I would try it myself but I would need my wife's email and she's already annoyed we looking at gaming PCs lol
I just tried, it didn't work. Wouldn't let me use the 5% 5GRADHP code.

Yes I think it would still work. 5600G has built in graphics.

Haven't seen a prebuilt with a 1660 Super in it this cheap since last year's Dells.

Anybody know how well this Ryzen 5 5600G compares with an 11th Gen Intel i5?

At least you get dual channel 8GB ram with this build.
The Intel 12400 is slightly better, but not a huge difference. Around 5% in most games.

I actually prefer it if it just came with one stick 8 GB ram, buy another stick for $30ish and you good to go.

EDIT

Noticed you want to compare it 11th gen. It about exactly even with a Intel 11400.

I've been interest in these for a few weeks now, cause they so cheap. I couldn't find much on youtube but I thought this was a pretty good video showing this PC.

Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0 so that you can't do farking anything that Mickeysoft doesn't approve of.

EDIT: This is specifically with the goal of making YOUR computer a phone that you have 0 control over ala Apple and Google "App Stores".
Yeah, I am just letting people know. I got around most of it. Rather do it now than later.

this is probably $700ish of components if you bought something similar in parts. its actually a slick deal but 99% chance its weird hp specific stuff so dont expect to upgrade on the motherboard, psu is probably low end, assumed poor airflow

Its in the OPs link. Just click the Customize button and scroll down to those options.

Upgrading the CPU and Memory are not worth it IMO though. Cheaper to do yourself later.

what isthe gpu worth?
seems 250 ish minus fees.
Lol. Not even. Not with how GPUs have dropped significantly over the last couple of month. The GPU resale market is dead.

Best I could do was $850... Using a legal version of Windows 11, and the cheapest parts I could find. Just parts did come out to $730 though.

Dell and Alienware PCs are very easy to swap parts.
A lot of Dell computers used to use the BTX form factor which made it a nightmare to upgrade, but iirc, most Dells today use standard ATX/mATX form factor so they're easier to upgrade today.

Does anyone know if a non-HP 3070/3080 could be swapped into this? With upgraded thermals, would this combo be practical?
Maybe, any GPU under 10.5 inches will fit in this. I probably would recommend it.
