I wouldn't trust that 600 at all. I owned this chair and it lasted about a month, the build seems great until you notice all your weight isn't put on the metal, but on the little black plastic supports where the legs cross, and yea that plastic couldn't even support more than 100 pounds, weakens very easily.

Maybe like the 800lb rating per shelf on the Edsal shelving that is now being recalled.

We have some older and similar Coleman chairs that have held up fine for occasional usage, but none had this rating.

Yep, same here. Coleman chairs are garbage.
