One prime account and other alt accounts usually has 7 days or 30 days prime trial promotion, since these accounts sit inactive for long periods of time. Multiple accounts = higher chance of eligibility, usually multiple eligible accounts.

i do have 1 prime account. that account never gets ANY promos. never. zero. zilch. my other accounts are not prime, those get promos all the time. shipping is free on orders of over $25 anyway, so prime doesn't matter.

you have to wait a while after linking. if you link the account during the promo, it takes a while. i have amex, chase and discover "pay with points" set up on all my amazon accounts ahead of time in anticipation of these promos

takes less than 5 seconds to check an account. you go to the promo page, then use the switch account button, which you can map as a short cut in your browser. took me less than 1 minute to check all 20 of mine. and i just make notes of which accounts have it. then use the discounts as needed. i saved thousands of dollars over the years.

Haha, it's not just for people shelling out $700 a year for a Platinum card. Even basic Green Card works, as long as it has AMEX MEMBERSHIP REWARDS points system, not some other type of points system (like bank derived) instead.
