Is there a way to get this discount using 0.01 and pay the rest with an amazon gc? For some reason it wont let me pay the rest of the balance with a gc. Im sure I was able to do this before.

Set the amex card as default payment method and check the box for use gift card balance

long time ago you were able to borrow points, there was a menu item which is now gone; but i think you can call them still

Thanks for the info. The first statement closed on Friday, and I paid it immediately. Today, the MR points hit the account and I was able to take advantage of this offer.

is this offer dead now? I had 50% offer on my account and didn't make a purchase. Last night or this morning it was still applying the discount in my cart and now it isn't anymore

Yea, seems like it, same for me. The offer page shows blank for me and no discount at checkout with 1 point applied. The offer said it expires on 7/21 or when the redemption limit is reached. Maybe it's the latter.

It's not your Amazon account, it depends on how much you use your Amex.
I have been a Prime member for years but since I do not use Amex often, they only offer 10%.
