But this one is different. The 2mm thickness seems a bit heavy, and that may be discouraging for some.

thickness may not be too bad for stove not powerful enough. main concern is if this non-stick can withstand high heat. this one reminds me of Walmart Mainstay non-stick wok

That's a good point: the heavier pan will hold heat more. ANd it's also a good point regarding the non-stick coating as I wonder how these coatings hold up against the really high heat required for wok hei to get the true flavor from wok cooking. That high level of heat used for pre-heating the wok is more likely toi burn off regular non-stick coatings or degrade them more quickly than the seasoning you develop yourself or that comes with other cast iron pans.
