I am looking for a good laptop for streaming sports. Would this be good or is there anything same price or cheaper I should be looking at?
Thanks

Legion 5 for sure, build quality on Dells has been dropping. Cheap screws, worse plastic. Customer service is also not as good as it once was.

Great deal . I have this laptop ( not special edition)
it has been working great . I highly recommend going to Best Buy store to see it for your self. this laptop is heavy it is about 6 pounds with a massive power brick. the motherboard is alienware and it is inverted so repasting the CPU and GPU is little more work. MUX switch. HDMI output is thru RTX3060.
115 watt 3060 plays AAA titles at high FPS. You can squeeze even more FPS if you turn ray tracing off.

There is a very simple answer to your question. If you can spend $1399, get Legion 5 Pro. That has a higher resolution and brighter screen, better performance and a highest power RTX 3070 with 140W TGP. You will get better battery life too, thanks to the Ryzen Processor. The downside I can think of is that you'll loose Thunderbolt port.

It weighs almost 6 lbs if that matters to you. Also 300 nits is acceptable —but barely so.

Does this run hot like the alienwares? I wanted the legion 5 pro deal but its in and out of stock. Then the eBay seller deal was said to be a crappy seller. This might be the deal I'm looking for. I just want reliability that will last at least 5 years or so

Any limitations if I connect to an external monitor? I saw that some laptops limit the hz output. I mean 360 isn't needed but at least 144.

Also, any reason the amex $120 cashback won't work? I remember seeing a while back that EPP may not work with it for some reason.

I have never had any issues or limitations when I plug it to external monitors or TVs.
