it has been working great . I highly recommend going to Best Buy store to see it for your self. this laptop is heavy it is about 6 pounds with a massive power brick. the motherboard is alienware and it is inverted so repasting the CPU and GPU is little more work. MUX switch. HDMI output is thru RTX3060.
115 watt 3060 plays AAA titles at high FPS. You can squeeze even more FPS if you turn ray tracing off.

If you're looking for a PC for just streaming tv or sports. Any Chromebook would do that for 1/4 of the price.

On the other hand, Legion Slim 7 has far better build quality (Full metal), Slimmer and far lighter and due to having a very power efficient 5800H CPU, will provide you better battery life.
I got the same thing from the Dell Outlet (except with the 165Hz screen) for $809 after Cashback and taxes back in February and it ran Half Life Alyx quite well after I got Virtual Desktop sorted.

Pm me the blocked url please.... Not sure which one you're talking about. Lol
I was on the fence, but at $860 I would definitely do this
This does have a MUX switch in the BIOS or you can connect it to the HDMI for best performance. I found it handled games really well even at 1440p, when running in performance mode (G key). Also this screen blows the 120Hz option out the water in response time and brightness.
The CPU would easily go over 90C when playing CPU intensive games like Forza Horizon 5 and Battlefield V. I disabled Intel turbo boost in the BIOS and it dropped down to the 75C-80C mark.
There is an additional NVME slot but you will need to buy the mounting plate, screw, and heatsink to use it. None of that is included. Or you can try support. Although they never understood what I was asking for, even when I gave the part numbers. Here's the information in case you need it. These are available on Amazon.
- PXNWV: SSD Bracket
- X197K: M2x4 Screws (quantity of 2)
- 26X1Y: Heatshield
I ran this for about 4 months until the 4 zone RGB keyboard died. After about 2 months, Dell sent the laptop back to me with the single zone orange keyboard instead. I can safely say Dell support is the worst there is. I strongly encourage getting the premium or premium plus support if you can't be without the laptop for an extended period. Also if you have AAA, you can get another 10% off, if you don't use the 50OFF699 coupon. They can't be combined. Price comes down to $965.79.
