Vinyl LP pressing including digital download. The Best of Sam Cooke is the second greatest hits album by singer-songwriter Sam Cooke. Produced by Hugo & Luigi, the album was released in 1962 in the United States by RCA Victor. The compilation contains most of Sam Cooke's most well-known hits from 1957 to 1962. Sam Cooke was an American singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. Influential as both a singer and composer, he is commonly known as the King of Soul for his distinctive vocals and importance within popular music. He began singing as a child and joined The Soul Stirrers before moving to a solo career where he scored a string of hit songs

According to Wikipedia, here was a critical take on the compilation:

Meanwhile, the recommended compilation, Portrait of a Legend, has 30 songs, for the price of $26.99 on Amazon and Best Buy, for the rate of $0.89 per song.

I see no reason to buy this when the other superior compilation exists at a better value.

He was a civil rights activist, which means he fought for rights you're enjoying this very minute. You're welcome. And songs like Chain Gang and A Change is Gonna Come gave voice and continue to bring awareness and relevance to oppressive forces faced by millions in this country. Not bad for a mere 30 some odd years on this rock.

If you cared so much about Amazon reviews (ugh), you would've noticed Portrait of a Legend is also five stars and has three times as many reviews.

You literally chose less songs for more money and you didn't get "Change Is Gonna Come". That was silly, don't you think?

Not a compilation but my favorite Sam Cooke album is Night Beat which even has a young Billy Preston on organ.

Diminishing marginal returns or capital constraints could both be good reasons, though then shopping Slickdeals may not be appropriate for someone in that position
