Since the speakers fire towards your ears, others could hear it but depending on your environment and your sound level, they would hear just noise

Recently purchased this and used it last week on a work trip. In a quiet area, the volume can be kept low enough where you can hear it clearly and others will not even notice.
However on the plane I had to turn it up in order to hear things clearly over the ambient sounds of the plane. The person next to me could hear sounds coming from the glasses but could not make out the words being said.
Speaking of Dollar store, you look like a dollar store Harry Potter if you get the circular ones.
