I have the early 7P and prefer them over the Sony and my gen 1 A50's. IMO they are the best value in a PS5 headset (even with the additions below)

FYI, I'm not sure if they improved the earpads on the 7P+ but I did spend 25 on these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MVKL...UTF8&psc=1

Also, this for easy charging: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GWLF...UTF8&psc=1

I saw this price this AM and just now bought it. It came out to be 145 after tax for me. It also comes with a "free" cloth bag carry case. The price only seems to be valid for the black color.

Do these have better build quality than the notorious Arctic Pro Wireless?

6 months of use and my toddler has thrown them around a few times with no issues.

These are great but ive had 2 issues on ps5. Every now and then, the audio cuts out and starts buzzing. You have to turn it off and back on. And the audio itself isn't as good as the pulse imo. But everything else is better.

Can't compare them to like headsets but definitely can tell you this is the best headset I have had yet for gaming in 25 years. Durable, comfortable and last quite awhile. Sound is great and mic is crisp from what my friends told me on discord.

These are much better than the Sony. Only advantage the Sony have is that their headphones are better integrated with the PS5 but overall i much prefer the steel series. The Astros arent fully compatible. They did some workaround but that limits the refresh rate, which kills the point of having a PS5 first of all. So steel series are currently the best option for a PS5.

Thanks for the input , I'm considering buying it , but I'd prefer the white to match the ps5, but the white version is expensive.

The 7P+ have issues on PS5 that they still have not entirely fixed. I got them at launch and promptly returned them a week later because of this. I continue to use my regular 7s with no issues.

Also, a heads up to anyone buying from SteelSeries site. Be warned that customer service is terrible and you must pay for return shipping if something happens.

I went with the 7+ instead of the 7P+.

IMO, the sidetone wheel on the 7P+ is useless for gaming, whereas the chat/game fader wheel on the 7 and 7+ is one of the top features I love about these headsets.

The others being battery life, sound quality, and comfort.

As others have said, customer service is complete garbage, so aside from accessories, I generally prefer to purchase on Amazon with extended warranty through a 3rd party.

edit: In case you're trying to decide between 7+/7P+ and other "premium" headsets options:
- Arctis Pro (returned, garbage build quality and battery life for the price)
- Astro A50 (only redeeming quality is dock charging, otherwise shorter battery life, and boom mic loosens over after 1yr) Astro support is a mixed bag, but better than steel series.
