I believe the surface line uses 3:2 for all their devices. Really liked it for productivity types of tasks vs the slightly wider screen standard on other laptops.

Yes... the Acer Predator 21 (https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/22/15672294/acer-predator-21-x-review-gaming-laptop-9000-gtx-1080)

Yes, Costco version is way better as the 2TB version has two 1TB m.2 installed. I'd rather get the Costco version for $1099, and then pop a 2TB in the second slot for $200, and still save $100 over the BuyDig version. I'll take Costco any day just for the 90 day return policy, as well as upgraded warranty.
Also, the RAM on these is not upgradable. This is LPDDR4x memory, which is never upgradable. I had the Gram 17 with upgradable RAM, but that came with an 8th Gen i7 that was quite slow. They may have continued offering upgradable RAM for another generation, but discontinued it with the switch to LPDDR4x as expected.

Is there any laptop with a taller screen than a 17" 16:10 ratio?

Costco has one for 1,099…saw it at the store but not sure about specs
Pretty sure it's a 512gb. All other specs the same. So you are paying 300$ more for 1.5tb.
Considering these are easily upgradable and have 2 hard drive slots, costco is probably better. there are video tutorials on YouTube. I've always wanted one of these but I decided to get galaxy book 2 pro 15" instead from recent deal. it's arriving tomorrow.
Don't forget to use costco visa even if buying elsewhere for 2 extra years of warranty.

Also ram can be upgraded to 48gb (16gb +32gb). 1 empty slot probably. there are video tutorials on YouTube. thanks. I wasn't aware that my costco visa extends warranty if i buy an electronic device at another store.
I wish something like that were available now at a reasonable price.
Yeah...... the 2022 model would probably bump up the display to 27" 5K, Ryzen Threadripper running dual SLI 3080s.
The price: an entire year worth of mortgage payments.
