If you are in local community FB groups that's a good place. Brand new, unopened, non recalled formula shouldn't be a liability risk.
You can't post on FB. Look for women's shelters or other nonprofits like baby and women care drives/ donation centers.

why is there a shortage?
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas...ll/629828/

1. Product recall
2. Pandemic-induce Supply chain issues
3. Trade policy
4. (my guess) people taking advantage of the situation and hoard the available supplies to gouge parents who will need formula.

The current administration states that they consider using the Defense Production Act to help alleviate the shortage.

It's because there is a shortage, so people will buy it at regular price and be happy about it

Good for resell?
is this a joke? as in buy it to resell? absolutely not. babies need this to live. It's not a joke or something to make money off of. you should be ashamed for even suggesting it.

Gates / artificial baby formula also just announced. Unrelated I'm sure.
The real causes for the baby formula are supply chain shortages and product recalls.1 There is no evidence that investments involving Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg in artificial breast milk have anything to do with the formula shortage. The lab-grown breast milk, which uses cultured human mammary cells in an effort to limit greenhouse gases, is still years from being sold in the market. Therefore, we rate the claim connecting baby formula shortage and Biomilq as false.

Basically a combination of consumer behavior and closing of a plant in Michigan due to four infants having similar infections(Cronobacter sakazakii) and it being believed that a plant might be to blame. So they closed the plant February 28th and cleaned it. The factory was being looked into starting at least September of last year. Issues were found, but supposedly not an easy source of the bacteria. They closed the plant after at least four cases with two deaths.
