Unless your workload really benefits from having 14 cores I don't see any reason to get the 2022 model. The new 3070ti will perform slightly worse and the 3080ti will barely be better than the 3080. With intel you'll get way worse battery life despite having a large battery with the new system. Now with the 2022 you can't have the combination of amd processor with nvidia gpu. Although the 6800m is still great it sits between a 3070 and 3080 in terms of performance leaning closer to the 3080.

In terms of gaming you are unlikely to see any worthwhile gains compared to the previous gen. I had the new zephyrus m16 12900h and 3070ti(100 watt even though they claimed 120watts) and the performance was disappointing.

I would rather get the ryzen 5900 hx and 3080 16 gb with full 165 watts over anything available right now and at $1800 it's a great bargain.

What a steal. Walmart return is also painless. Giving this a try to see if the Legion 7 chassis is worth the premium over the 5 Pro.

I was able to get similarly good temps as long as I didn't keep the lid closed. I can try to report back, but I know it made a big difference for me.

Lol this thing is quiet! I had the chance to try out the 2022 Asus m16 with the 3070 ti and it was unbearably loud which is the main reason I returned it. This thing makes me realize there's much worse lollll

I got an email from Capitol One Shopping Rewards offer for 15% back on it.
Made sure to activate it and got $270 pending rewards from it.
It takes like a few days for the reward to show up as pending, but as long as you can see the shopping trip (You have to check the trips without purchases to see the initial trip).

I am going to try the machine when it comes, and I have 30 days to buy the protection plan for it. I'll probably go with 3 year plan as its really cheap compared to buying extended warranties from the manufacturer.
