I'll probably reinstall Windows to get rid of bloatware, and someone said that also fixed the loud fan issue for them so fingers crossed. Thanks OP!

Do you mean you simply updated windows and that seemed to fix the fan issue?

This computer is OOS at BB system-wide so a replacement was not possible -- the SD Effect.
Update: After fully updating the system I haven't seen the graphical glitches recur. Will keep an eye on it.
I have not been bothered by fan noise like many people have reported. I have not done the registry trick. Although I did fully update Windows and additional Lenovo updates (however I did not upgrade to Windows 11).

FN-F4 toggles the Microphone on/off. You might have toggled that by accident and it persisted from shut off /on in windows 11. When you rolled back to windows 10, it may have reset.

Do you have this computer with Windows 11 installed and a working mic?
