Looks like this one has the "infrared" grill plates. Greatly reduces flare-ups, provides more even heat, but they're a pain in the booty to clean. And I've definitely had the paint peeling issue on mine.

Yes, nearly impossible to clean. I had one and will never buy an infrared grill again. Finally, I replaced the infrared plates with traditional grill plates.

I have had a few with side burners but I never used it. Lowes has the all black ones for $99 2yrs ago, it's holding up well. Lights with a gas channel after one starts. Wish it had a drip tray for cleaning.

I got this a while back that had a burner on the side. It is shitty. The handle gets so hot I had to duct tape a potholder to it. In fact the thing just gets too damned hot overall.

Might be a similar looking but different handle. I got this about a week ago for this price and I've had it pegged at 650, handle never got hot. Grill seems great, the infrared cooks awesome. I wanted something to last about 2 years to toss when I move and I'm more than pleased with this. We may be talking about different models 🙂
