Just one of several. That was Ravage... some of the other notable ones were Laserbeak, Rumble, Frenzy and Buzzsaw. Rumble and Frenzy transformed into regular robot forms... Laser Beak and Buzzsaw were birds/hawks. I always thought Ravage was the coolest one. There were a few others.

I know Toys R Us and Walmart/Target did a ton of exclusives a few years back as part of the anniversary. I have the Soundwave that turns into a boombox and has 2 tapes. They haven't really gone up in value much. The Masterpiece Seekers on the other hand have done nothing but increase (Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp). I have them all in their boxes in perfect condition on a shelf in the house (same with 20Th anniversary Prime).

All these war for cybertron pieces never bring back the nostalgia of the originals.

Just a heads up, last two transformers I ordered from Amazon came in an non-bubble bag and were smashed. While people that open their figures may not think that is a big deal, many of these transformers have back displays. Mine were also smashed

I thought the same exact thing, but the product title has an 83 in it and that made me think back to the classic original movie from 1986. When the Autoboots and Decepticons were still on Cybertron, they transformed into different forms than what they ended up with on Earth. So I was thinking maybe that's what this was supposed to represent. But I just pulled up the movie to check and sure enough, Soundwave transforms into a cassette player a few minutes into the movie so that Laserbeak can get inside him and play back the (video?!?) recording he took while spying on the Autobots.

So I agree with your take. I was excited at first, but this toy is a disappointment.

Same. I was wondering why i couldn't find a pic of what ot transformed into. After i finally did, i understood why... What even is that, lol? Just some random shaped imaginary vehicle? No thanks, i prefer a cassette player, with the amazing cassette tape dog transformer.
