Have seen this at Costco for 69/79 before, this seems to be a good price @ 39.97.
North America's Most Popular Portable Propane Heater! This patented radiant 4,000-9,000 BTU Liquid Propane heater connects directly to a 1 lb. cylinder and is the perfect solution for heating enclosed spaces like large tents up to 200 sq. ft. The expertly engineered size to BTU ratio is augmented with a fold down handle to give this heater maximum output while retaining a minimalistic footprint. A swivel regulator gives you the ability to adapt usage from a disposable cylinder to a remote gas supply with the purchase of a hose and filter. To light the unit, simply rotate the knob to pilot and push. Then the integrated Piezo sparking mechanism will take care of the rest. With the Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) and accidental tip-over safety shut-off you can be sure that you will enjoy years of comfortable indoor safe heat.
There are plenty of them left in the Lake in the Hills, IL Costco, but they're still at their original price ($60, I believe.) Decent deal with the extra adapter, but not the super deal OP's Costco has.
Recommend getting the line that requires no filter. It's on Mr. Buddies website. Will save the heater in the long run.
The problem with the fuel filter is it has to be changed every season. If not it will clog the internals. Happened to my dad's. Worked for about 4 seasons (very casual residential use for garage).
100% get the line that has the regulator built-in if you plan on using a 20lb tank frequently! I purchased this when I bought my Big Buddy and it has lasted me years without having to mess around with the filters, which definitely has caused issues for many users based upon my research.
The warehouse had the reduced price on their remaining stock. I asked them if they could price match my previous purchase of this heater. I purchased it less than a month ago.
FYI there's a decent amount around Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Which warehouse? I checked my local (Rochester) warehouse and they said their system showed one which was likely the floor display. However I might be going to St. Paul (Hennepin Ave.) so just wondering.(eden prairie might be closest?)
Thanks

Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, and St. Louis Park seemed to have a couple the past few weeks, but that might not be the case now.

Just called St Louis Park as that would be the one closest for me. Still showing 42 on-hand. Interestingly, my local warehouse also had at least 25 on floor for several weeks between early April through first weekend of May but went down to a single unit in a week or so. SD effect?
We were camping by Michigan lake this past weekend and it was raining and chilly, cheap walmart sleeping bag couldn't keep from cold, I had to wear jacket in it Came back and started looking for heaters and found this! IL mount prospect costco still has 10+ and I grabbed one. Thank you!

As for carbon monoxide detector, can I bring one with me in tent that I already have at home? such as, Kidde Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Digital Display https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y6V5CI
What's the difference for those fancy ones that are more than 100 bucks, or are they necessary?

Probably a good investment for when the winter storms knock out the fragile Texas infrastructure.
Thanks for the locations,

Not in central NJ. Went yesterday and they pulled them that morning. They were in the truck and they could not get me one. I was a day late.
