this is usb 3.0 but the drive itself is slow.
Please add something useful, such as stating that this is not the quality Lexar of olde, but rather some Chinese shell of its former self since 2017.
I can't comment on the company, but I think I found the product on Amazon. The reviews seem mostly positive, but in my quick glance over them, I did notice a few dead on arrival reviews.

In general, I've been pretty unimpressed with the longevity of flash drives. They seem to burn out fairly quick. $5 doesn't seem to be a bad price at all for a try, but I just wish Amazon had it for this price. I think the 32gb(?) is about $8 there. Not sure if Amazon would price match Buydig. If something went wrong, I'd be more comfortable with the return process on Amazon, as well as a negative review there potentially having more reach, and more power

Heads up I experienced the extremely low speeds and pausing issues that other users mentioned as well. I was copying a 1.4gb firmware update for my TV and every few seconds the transfer speed would go to 0 and freeze for a few seconds, it was pretty annoying. Also the transfer speed was only about 17MB/s (when it was actually transferring and not freezing).

That's BS. Wear leveling are introduced as soon as flash memory supports random write (as oppose to linear write). Some wear leveling maybe better than the others but they all work. Even compact flash made 20 years ago does wear leveling. They are standard feature of flash controllers.

This drive was $4.50 a little over a month ago. I guess $11 now a still a slick deal?

EDIT: nevermind. it was the 32G model that was 4.50. I guess this is pretty slick after all.

I did a sustained write test on a USB flash drive 10 yrs ago and it died much quicker than expected. It's unlikely that it was doing proper wear leveling. Where are your sources that 20 yr old flash had that feature? Low end controllers don't have the budget to implement it.
