Just got this last week from Amazon, I need to see if I can get my free watch! So far this phone is 100 times better than that dumpster fire pixel 6 pro. Luckily I fought hard enough against google to get a full refund for that, if you want the definition of POS, look no further than google

Exactly! I haven't upgraded from the S20 model because of that reason. Will I have to do it eventually if they don't? Yup But for now I enjoy have the safe and secure place for my music, photos and files.

You may want to tough it out for another year.
News just came out iPhone 14 will still have lightning port (slow 480Mbps transfer rate )
Next year iPhone line up will be USBC port.

Which is much better.

Yes all my friends who were planning to get 14 all now will hold back for the USBC iPhone 15( just because USBC )

USBC is a huge welcomed change. Stream line all charging ports.(not to mention maybe will have indisplay face id.)

Try shoot 100GB of Prores video on iPhone 13 pro max and transfer that over lightning port lol (every min of video footage is 3+GB size )

So unacceptable!

I wouldn't say an SD card slot is any more secure than the high-speed built-in storage on the phone.

Both are susceptible to corruption.

I have all of my things cloud backed up which has redundant storage on multiple servers.

That being said, I have no problems with an SD card slot, options are good, the more options the better on a flagship device in my opinion, just be aware that SD card slots can corrupt much more easily than redundantly stored cloud backup solutions.
