we own a dual hose and during my research, single hose wasnt even worth it considering a dual hose (similar btu) will run 100-150 more and cool the room 3x quicker on average. This way you save money on electricity as well.
Think the 375WRC has a 'Arctic Whisper' mode that this one does not. But totally dependent on what the buyer needs out of a portable AC.

A single hose doesn't grab the hot air from the condenser, that's what's going out the single hose to the outside. Technically speaking you're actually cooling the condenser off better with a single hose as you're using room air and not outside air. The problem with a single hose is you're using room cooled air to pass through the condenser and exhausting it outside creating a negative airflow in the room or house and it will makeup that air by pulling it under the door from other areas if in a closed room. A single hose causes infiltration and you'll create a negative air pressure in your home. You're correct a dual hose or better yet a window mounted unit is the better option by far. A window unit is best if possible as you'll never have condensation issues as it's run outside and drips out there and with a portable you might have issues in a very humid climate or if it's set to dehumidify.

I have a window unit but purchased this for a different room where a window unit will not work. It is more expensive and has less cooling than a window unit, again it's about convenience, not efficiency
Buy dual hose and you will actually save more money from electricity at the end of the day.
