that too but people think that these cards will bring in some fortune in like 10-15 years from now .. like the old base set did .. which is where the difference is .. nowadays they are printing like crazy and then everyone is taking the card as a collectible .. putting a sleeve, top loader, plastic container, vacuum proof, what not .. and then people are even paying 1000s of $ to grade them . earlier we used to take them everywhere .. classes, playgrounds .. they were used as the TCGs are meant to be .. so I highly doubt, unless there is literally a rare card with just a few hundreds of them printed, it would be of any real value ..
BUT gotta catch 'em all lol

I preordered from Gamenerdz a few weeks ago for $115. They didn't charge me tax or shipping so considering tax on ebay, it would only be about $1 difference for me.

The old Pokémon cards you're referring to were the ones that WOTC used to produce. These are completely different you're right. I too prefer the old school Pokémon cards. I believe there was a reprint not too long ago with the XY revolution that had older style Pokémon cards

Zulu Games have this for $105 free ship and no tax unless you live in Washington. Having said that I haven't ordered any because the set looks kinda weak compared to the sets that came before it and the Pokemon Go mini set that's to release after it.
