1080 is okay for me but the biggest problem is that you cannot set user name and password for RTSP streaming. If you want to stream outside of your local network you basically open to public without username and password.
One of the great parts of blue iris is that you can put all the cameras on a private network with no internet access. Only blue iris server has internet access (if you want anything internet accessible), and it forwards the streams. Way more secure.

I have Synology NAS to record the RTSP stream and I could use synology app to view the stream securely. I don't want to build a PC for blue iris since I have Synology NAS. Anyway, I don't understand why Eufy didn't make that user can add username and password for RTSP stream. I also like to see all my camera live views with tinycam app but I can't open Eufy to public without username and password.

I understand your dilemma. My point is: If they don't even allow you to set a password, how would you trust their firmware's security if they did? These are cheap devices with poor support.

These cameras are awesome. I bought two from last sale. The. Bought two more. Now I bought 4 more. The video quality is outstanding and the microphone picks up on everything. I'm a bit embarrassed hearing the conversations sometimes lol. It's much better than the Arlo cameras I had before which would have a few seconds delay.

I believe this changed at some point in the past year. I see username/password on my RTSP devices (Indoor 2k cameras). In the Eufy app (Android, at least):

Camera settings>General>Storage>NAS (RTSP)>RTSP Security

You can enable authentication, and set username and password.

This has not been my experience. They over night cameras and ask you ship the broken one back AFTER you receive new one. I had one stuck in night mode. They told me to keep it and use it until the replacement was set up and gave me a free label to ship it back out after.
Their warranty is awful and they asked me to ship the item back before they shipped a replacement.

They did what they could to delay until my warranty ran out, but I complained enough that they sent a replacement.

That shouldn't happen.

I bought an outdoor blink camera 3 weeks ago that stopped working. I went back to the store to get a replacement and was told that their return policy was shortened to 14 days. Anything after that, I would need to go to the manufacturer. What a shame. Who only allows 14 days to use a product.
Bestbuy has 14 days return policy, you should purchase elsewhere if you need 30 days+ return window.

If anyone is specifically looking for this info: this is NOT one of Eufy's HomeKit compatible security cameras.
Can you tell me what a home kit gives? I have a bunch of older eufy cameras with eufy home base that are home kit compatible but I've never used homekit before. I presume this integrates with my home base and eufy app just fine

14 days isn't anything "new" it's been at 14 for a few years.

i have this Eufy 2k camera installed outdoor side by side with a Nest IQ for the past few months.

During the day, there's no noticeable difference between 2k and 1080. i really like the zoom-and-enhance supersight feature of Nest IQ.

The magnetic base of this Eufy 2k cam is very weak. You can pull the cord lightly and the camera would come off.

Was yours turning off once you reset it or unplugged and plugged it back in? Or was the filter physically stuck and wouldn't swap out?

I have one of these and it is stuck on night mode until I unplug it and plug it back in. I have just been using it without night mode for months hoping the spotlight will turn on fast enough if someone tries to break in etc. I mostly see people with hardware issues and was thinking this was a software one, so kept waiting for an update.

For anyone considering, wired in this case means it uses wire for power but wifi and SD card for recording.

Baffles me that their battery powered cam has a magnetic base and the battery powered ones do not...seems like some very backwards thinking.

Filter was stuck is my understanding. Restarting it did not solve the issue. Have had no issues with any other eufy cams since.

I bought 3 the last time these were on sale. Absolutely LOVE them. I rarely get false alerts, but then again, I have zones set up I want to monitor so I limit my exposure to false alerts. I also swapped in 128 GB cards in all 3 I bought so I have 12 days of continuous recording I can view. Can't say enough about these. I have one set up on my back porch area so when I let the dogs out, I can go do whatever inside and get alerted when they are ready to come back because they are sitting by the back patio door where I have a zone set up. I'm going to get one or two more because I want to monitor the sides of my house also.
Me too. I was hesitant about this brand because there are so many brands of security camera. I gave them a try last time on the other deal. I'm pleasantly surprised by this camera. I bought two more and then 8 more today for a total of 12. I'm installing some for my dad. It's easier for him to just view it on the app. They are very easy to install as well. The sensor is a bit sensitive though. Picks up quiet a few tree movements. The microphone picks up on everything. I just bought it for peace of mind while going to work and viewing what's at home.
