Looks like it's sold out online.
Think this works in store?

Go to the S22U unlocked version product page on BB. There were be a blue link bar above the product "Trade in Offer" which will show you the elevated TIV towards unlocked Sammys i.e. $800 TIV for a ZF3. . .
Thanks. I see it now and it says it's for in store trade ins.

T-Mobile is pretty easy to unlock if it's paid off. Verizon will unlock as well after 60 days I think. At&t will also unlock it for you but it's nigh impossible to get in touch with anyone about unlocking issues, if the website kicks you to the corner.
Easy unlock with T-Mo, but the phone has to be used on their network for 40 days.

Do you mean sold out online for home delivery? Or sold out online for in store pickup? Or no option for Ship to store?

Anyways, for home shipping it's regional. My region still shows available to ship to home. However, if you're trading anything in towards this ZF3 you need to order for in store pickup or ship to store order.

If a store near you has stock in the morning, you can get the same deal by going in.

Side note, I've lost out on a few deal where I order after the store cutoff time for same day pickup. Someone would go into store in the morning and grab the item before they could grab it for my order. Happens with these "only 1 left" 50% off phone deals. . .

Google Messages (RCS), Google Duo, and Samsung SmartTag are the equivalent of those in Android.

Are you trying to trade in a ZF3 to buy another ZF3?

Anyways, if you are buying the ZF3 carrier version online, it's $499. The ZF3 TIV for carrier purchases is $600-800 (i.e. more than the new phone cost). Which they won't let you do.

Buy the carrier version for $499 online (and trade something in with less than $499 TIV). . .and then if you want an unlocked phone go in store and say trade in the ZF3 ($800TIV) towards an S22 Ultra ulocked, activate now, which is $899.

EDIT: nevermind, looks like you're just going for the $50-100 net in the end like in OP.
I was just curious to see if you'd get a credit if you tried to do that, but apparently not. Unsurprisingly, you have to trade in for something more expensive than the TIV.

Mine unlocked by request on day 2, it was never once activated on T-Mobile and was paid off. But I understand, their policy does say that. They don't enforce much.

Nice. By "mine unlocked on day 2. . ." you mean you requested an unlock since it was paid off?

Yeah those reps have a lot of leeway. I think if I pushed it harder, I could have gotten them to grant the request. I knew I'd have my phone for 40 days so I didn't bother. They have unlocked them quicker for me, though, especially when they saw how long I've been a customer. I wish all companies had the same sense and flexibility.

Man, you guys need to be more precise with your questions. "If I buy 5 phones and trade it back in. . ."

unless you live in a tax free state, it's $100 per phone up - $30-$40 or more in taxes. So net $60-$70 for most. So for most people you would need to do this deal, and trade it in for e-gift card, 8 times or more to get enough credit to get one of these free.

Then there's the matter of stock availability, and for how long.
