Deal is beginning to go live, picture in the battery listing shows all of the tools that will be available. Right now you can start to add tools manually to your cart and it should show the discount.

Also looks like Home Depot is pushing you to use the same shipping method for batteries and the tool when you check out, so not sure how this will impact the ability to return batteries and keep the tools (or vice versa)

Edit: Here are all the tools as of Friday AM (May 20), with the price of the tool with the sale.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Did it last year.

Looks like it. You can definitely select two different stores for pickup - I just did.

The links are provided by the original poster. Just add the battery pack and the free item you want into your cart.

If you follow the link in the original post, it takes you to the battery kit page. On that page, below the $99.00 price that’s bolder, and above the “How to get it” (store pickup, shipping, scheduled delivery), it says “This item + FREE”.

To the right of that, click or tap the words “Free gift with purchase” and it will display the list of 15 free tools.

You now have to choose the same shipping item for both parts of the deal. Before you could pickup the tool, have the batteries shipped, and cancel the batteries. Now if you select pickup for the tool, you must select store pickup for the batteries. I see no reason you couldn't do a return at the store though. Or you can do them for two different stores, and probably just not pick one up, though that will take time to cancel the charge.

The best deal is the tool you don't have and need the most. Or buy two battery/tool combo's and sell off one set of the batteries for $50

I did this previously by ordering the thing I wanted shipped to my house and the thing I wanted to return for store pickup and then never picked up. It itemized them in the cart at the approximate price you would pay previously.

That sounds like a lot of work! And you have to use Facebook. No thanks.
Probably because it's a complete pain in the ass to meet someone to do the exchange for $10. Not sure what your time is worth

So I see the picture of items I should be able to add, but how do I find them and add them? I see a string trimmer, but what is the correct one to qualify for the deal?

That 2 gal sprayer works great. Many people crack the cap by tightening to tight. Their is no reason to tighten more than finger tight.

As the OP mentioned, looks like items must be delivered to same place.

I'm not really sure why more people don't actually sell the pieces that they don't want on Marketplace, you make more money back than you do just by taking it back to the store for a prorated refund.
If you hold on to the batteries until after Ryobi day is over especially, you can easily get a hundred bucks for him making it a truly free tool if all you wanted was the tool.

Same. But I'm curious if that fogger is good for mosquito fogging?

It's well worth it. I've cut everything from small saplings to 5-6" diameter branches with it, it works wonderfully.

When all the options are made available the best values are probably the multi tool or the full size reciprocating saw for basic tools.

For the ones people like the most people love the inflators and work lights apparently
