HD knows exactly what people are doing, but I am sure it is such a small percentage of sales that it doesn't matter. They could change it at any time to require both items for the returned instead of listing a prorated price, but they don't.

That's absurd analogy😂. The value of each item is decided by HD and printed on the receipt and that's what we pay. Everything is within the agreement.
