Pretty much all of the brands had the same outcome. Almost no difference in extra battery performance unless you were using them in freezing conditions.

I have the sliding miter that can benefit from the hp battery. I do notice I slight different vs the same ah regular battery. On tools that don't have the extra hp prong, I notice no difference.....it all just depends on what tools you have.

Extra prong is not for power delivery. It's a communication line. Supposedly to tell the tool it's "ok" to pull more power.
However there are HP tools that don't have the prongs so yeah…
Reality…. Batteries are batteries, an HP battery is not gonna magically go from 18v to 20v when attached to a HP tool. In all likelihood HP batteries probably have a different chemistry that holds voltage better under load.
98% marketing gimmick… but then I like Coke Zero(black can, doesn't use the word diet) meant to appeal to men.

For high performance batteries, try aiming for $10/ah

Actually there's a HUGE difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke taste/formula. That's not marketing just to appeal to men.

Coke zero uses a different artificial sweetener than diet btw, the difference isn't just marketing. I prefer the taste of zero

For me personally I don't start looking at buying regular batteries until the hit $6.25/ aH. That usually comes in the form of a 2 pack 4aH for $50 as a part of a buy x get y deal.
