In fact, show us a better deal on an Alder Lake pre-built.
The system I built is: https://pcpartpicker.co
It runs and looks great, but I would take the Lenovo over this in a heartbeat.
Only thing that I dont like is the storage configuration. Would rather just see 1TB SSD instead of the 256/1TB 7200RPM config. But that is easy enough to correct down the line.

It would cost a bit over $1000 to build this with parts.
Video card prices still have room to drop though.

Asus has larger SSD too.
Kidna deends on what you want and if you wanna spend $100 more for it. Either are decent buys.

I had not noticed that its DDR5.
My price estimate was based on just DDR4

I think ppl must be going off the inflated pricing of prebuilts while we were in the gpu shortage. They were priced high then as they were one of the only ways to get gpu's during the shortage. They almost always have compromises that are not recommendable via cheap mobo, slow RAM, low quality PSUs, mismatched cpu/gpu. Pricing has not reflected the easing of the shortage and decreased prices.
This system should not cost over 1k. The ddr5 option is only increasing costs as it does NOT offer adequate performance for the cost. It is there for suckers....sorry for that, but it is the truth. You'd need a better mobo and faster gpu for it to make any difference.
