I didn't realize that the payment for each and every Uber eats order should be done through PayPal if need to take advantage of the Uber one discount. I thought PayPal lock in was applicable only to buy the 6 months Uber One discounted rate.

Anyone notice that you stop getting promos from UberEats once you join Uber One? I had Uber One a while back, but cancelled it due to getting free DashPass from my Sapphire card. I very rarely got UberEats promos while an Uber One member, but now get them every week or two. Uber pricing with promo is usually better than DashPash price so I end up buying UberEats 3-4x/month. It would be worth it to take advantage of this deal (looks like I qualify despite being a previous member), but only if promos don't stop. Can anyone who is a current Uber One member comment on if you are getting promos (e.g. the one I got a few days ago was 40% off, max $15 savings) on a regular basis?

Thanks. Did the Amex 1 year offer, then got offered another 1 month which expires in a few days. Will let my Uber one expire and then use this offer - thanks OP

Additional details:
You get charged $1.66/per month instead of $9.99 upfront. The promo ends on 6/30 so plenty of time to cancel your sub and let your Uber one expire in order to take the promo.

They need to make the discount come as a rebate instead of discounted off the ride receipt. I would jump on it in a second if I could turn in my ride receipts with my expense report and pocket the 5%, much like I do with idine.com.
