1. Coat the LED in paint (can recolor to red and dim it with black),
2. Coat with jb quick weld (darkens or covers completely, won't wear off, but requires finesse to get right),
3. Cover with electrical tape with a pinhole created with a paperclip (the pinhole is tricky and bright)
4. Cover with multiple layers of painter's tape, often colored with black permanent marker (optimal for ISP modems or anything you might want to undo easily and quickly).
For most things, the painter's tape is now my preferred option. But for something you'll travel with, I'd go with either paint or jb weld for the permanent fix.
2 fast charging USB-C's for iPad and iPhone, USB-A for Apple Watch and whatever other random accessory I take on vacation.
White tape doesn't always block light very well btw, though you could put some black underneath.
I always carry a roll of electrical tape with me anyway. It's super handy for sealing travel sized liquids so they don't spill as it's slightly stretchy, or taping electronics so they stay closed, won't turn on, etc. Lights in a hotel room? Cover them easily, and it comes off easily and cleanly.

I'm guessing most adapters like this will have some sort of status LED these days. A smaller wall wart / block for a phone probably won't, but something with this amount of power just typically does.

i'd think 18w, but who knows....
it's not the cheapest cable in the world, but I'm not buying the cheapest one I can find when I'm sending that many watts through it. I do think it was a couple of bucks cheaper back when I bought it, but $12.99 isn't terrible for a cable I trust not to start a fire.
