Can cayenne pepper be used as a main base seasoning directly on meats or does it have to be mixed with something. Or is a chili powder mix better options?

It's just a very spicy chili powder. Cayenne peppers are several times spicier than jalapenos. I would assume you don't want that as the only seasoning on your meats.
