I'm sure the Dewalt's are nice, but they don't seem to have a third of the torque of these Milwaukee's. Am I missing something?

I mean it's been years since Dewalt was actually competition. Ya they got one tool that beats hundred of others that have been out for years. Congrats on having one tool. Lol.

While the DeWalt mid-torque is a bit more powerful than the Milwaukee, it is also an inch longer. To get more torque by making a tool larger is kind of a no-brainer - if that's what you're after.

So if you're going for max oomph in a mid-torque, then the DeWalt wins, but for a great all around impact wrench in a more compact size, the Milwaukee is a great option.

One should also consider which battery platform they want to be in and how the other tool options in the line-up compare.

It's more than just the one tool. Their new drill is king too. Dewalt finally has a winning combination, especially with the stacked batt. I suspect tool after tool is going to be released over the coming months that will dominate.

I say all of this while owning half a dozen m18 and another half dozen m12. Facts are Facts though. Milwaukee needs to step up their game a bit. They have been sitting on cruise control for years. And I cannot wait to see what they come up with now that they are under the gun so to speak.

I have both the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-Volt Brushless Cordless 1/2" Impact Wrench and the 1/4" Surge Hex Hydraulic Driver... I have to say that both have been nothing short of amazing. I do all lot of my own work around my cars/trucks and home - they've saved me tons of time on applications that would've struggled otherwise with my old tools. Some people say the 1/2" impact is overkill for the home mechanic but I say it's a must, pulls off rusted bolts like nothing, same with the lug nuts on my f350. The Surge Hydraulic driver also hasn't failed me on basically anything I've thrown at it from fixing my fence, replacing deck boards to removing most smaller nuts and bolts on my car. The surge is so torquey that I've broken multiple bits instead!!

Both are super solid and I wouldn't hesitate to jump on them for this price.

When compared to Milwaukee's "mid-torque" model, the Dewalt wins out. But the Impact in this deal is in a different league. Again, that Dewalt looks like a nice, lighter-weight impact; but the Milwaukee 2767 has almost double the torque specs. I don't really think these two tools should be compared. They both serve their own purpose. I don't think that Dewalt makes a cordless impact that comes close to the torque of Milwaukee's higher torque models.
